Taghazout is a chilled fishing village blending traditional Berbere culture with the worldwide surfers who come to catch the waves. You can choose to surf, do yoga, sun yourself on the beach or simply chill! Car hire, public transport or taxis are available in the village if you to choose to explore the local area including Paradise Valley, the mountains or even perhaps the high-end hotels for a luxurious chill-out by the pool or cocktails and a dinner treat. There are plenty of inexpensive local restaurants and cafes to enjoy a tasty, traditional tagine or refreshing mint tea. A variety of tasty food and beverages are on offer at every corner. If you desire a night on the town or a walk in the harbour, Agadir city is also only 30 minutes away. The choices are many!

Taghazout is located some 20 kilometres to the north of Agadir. This charming fishing village is easily accessible by taxi or bus. Taghazout boasts the best waves in Morocco with great Atlantic swells, point breaks, beach breaks and reef breaks.

It offers all kinds of waves, from gentle beginner waves to heavy reef breaks for more advanced surfers. The best swells hit the region between November and March. We are located minutes from the most famous surf spots of the south: Killer Point, Anchor point, Hash Point, Boilers, La Source, Panoramas, and Banana Point.

Taghazout has some of the most perfect right hand pointbreaks you will ever surf. It offers a variety of spots that can suit any surfing abilities, as well as any swell, tide and wind variations.

The best swells and winds are from mid-September to mid-April. Any other time of the year you will find strong NW winds that blows out most spots. However, if you are a beginner or want to avoid the crowds, this could be a good time to visit too.


Getting around :
You can choose between local taxis, public transport or hire car to get around easily. Parking is available on the main street. Agadir airport is a 40-minute taxi ride for about 22£ or 3 1/2 hours to Marrakech by bus or shared taxi.
